On Saturday Cesar and I had hoped to check out a flea market; however, we were never actually able to find it. I am not referring to the typical Cancun tourist flea market but a local one that is usually held on Saturdays at one location and Sundays at another location. So we ended up eating a late lunch at one of my favourite little “hole in the wall” restaurants called Los Pescaditos.
Los Pescaditos have two locations in Cancun and we went to the one on Yaxchilan Ave. as they often feature live music and we are friendly with the staff. They always have people so there is a nice buzz and the food is always great. Their specialties are lightly battered fish sticks using grouper and fried tacos with either fish or shrimp in them. They also make a great fish and shrimp ceviche Acapulco- style which means that the fish and shrimp have been ‘cooked” in lime juice. If you are looking for something else to try they also have shrimp stuffed jalapeño poppers and assorted fish/shrimp/oyster based soups which are great for a hangover
We ordered the fish sticks and decided to share a fish ceviche.
Unfortunately, by the time we arrived we had missed the live band but as usual they were playing some great music on their stereo. IF you are in Cancun and looking for a reasonably cheap place with great food and atmosphere look no further, hail a taxi and tell them you want to go to Los Pescaditos! Buen Provecho!

Am not sure what I like best……your descriptions of the food, Ashlie, or the photos…both are great!
…..agreed, both good!
Has Cesar put on some weight since I saw him last?
Yup, just a bit!!
Hi Ashlie, do you know the telefon # of that restaurant ? I’ve been there 3 weeks ago and I fully agree with your description and conclusion (my photos are far away from your perfectionism…). I wanted to ask the guys for somebody I met.

My wife and I Googgled for an hour trying to remember the name of this awesome restaurant . Food was insanely good and the owner a great host. We were staying on hotel row miles away and made the trek to Cancun downtown just for Pescaditos. We’re fiendiing big time….it’s been a year since we were there.
Glad you were able to find Pescaditos again–it really is very yummy
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
