I took this photo in July 2008 while Cesar (my husband) and I went away for a 3 day weekend. We rented scooters and stopped at a Pirate Bar to have a chelada and watch the sunset. The sky changed so many colours it was amazing.!

My Hatha yoga class went great last night; however, it only confirmed what I originally suspected which was that I have lost all flexibility 😦 The teacher was great (very helpful ) and the studio had a nice feel to it and the location very convenient “Armoniza T” on Ave. Tulum on the corner of Calle Mar. We took a free trial class and we will be trying out a few more yoga studios before we commit to one.

Now on to a less positive note! My battle with “THE ANTS” continues!! I am afraid that I am losing. We have fumigated countless times to no avail. My house has never been so clean yet they still keep coming and coming!!!. Erika gave me some advice for a home remedy “guaranteed” to kill them so tonight we wage war!! How you may ask? Well, you mix 1 part boric acid with 1 part sugar and a little bit of water to form a paste and then you drip small amounts onto  pieces of paper and you strategically place them around your house….. and then you wait! According to Erika they come and “eat” the paste and then conveniently die in a sun-like pattern around the drops. How nice!! If it works expect photos!

So I am reading a manual on WordPress and getting more and more confused aaarrgh!! I think I will just try to learn about it first by playing around with it and then go back to the manual.Even though I love learning new things I do get frustrated if I don’t “get it” immediately. Let’s just say that patience is a virtue and I don’t have any.

Hello World!

Well, this is my first entry into my blog. It is another beautiful day in paradise. 30 degrees celsius and counting. After work today I am going with Erika  (my girlfriend from the States) to Needful Things on Coba. A great store that enables you to trade used books. Usually trading 2 books will get you 1 book in return. They have a pretty decent selection and you can even find the odd “gem”–fingers crossed!

Tonight I am taking a yoga class but I am not sure which style it is as I have been invited by Erika to check out a new studio by her house on Tulum Ave. I am looking forward to it even though I am not the most flexible of people.
